Don’t be quiet around your sleeping baby. Talk loudly around them, put movies on, have friends over. Train them to sleep through noise so that you don’t have to pause your entire life whenever they fall asleep. If they’re fussy feed them. Don’t be embarrassed to use formula. Don’t start routines that you can’t sustain. If you don’t want bedtime to take two hours every night, don’t give them a bath every night. If you don’t want to heat up the bottle every time, get your baby used to drinking milk cold from the fridge. If you don’t want to have to be quiet after the baby goes to sleep, don’t be quiet after the baby goes to sleep. Get an electric snot sucker and saline nasal spray. If you get the Graco, there’s often a little tiny cap/filter on the inside suction tube that you’ll need to remove. When they’re older a nasal rinse bottle works wonders.
