@blissbrah - the jhana future's already here, just not evenly

2025-02-16the jhana future's already here, just not evenly distributed yet. some thoughts after reading the responses to bayes:
1) using positive emotion as meditation object (v2) might be easier for you to access jhana than the method of neutral meditation object to build access concentration then switching to pleasurable sensation (v1)
2) hard jhana takeoffs can scare people. intense pleasure can scare people. hard takeoffs more common in v1 jhana meditation. in not necessarily a problem, but less common using v2 jhana meditation. more tips on this: [link to Tweet](https://x.com/blissbrah/status/1891204300057301204)
3) ppl can get stuck in the piti doldrums. again, i recommend v2 jhana meditation which avoids this altogether, but if you have lots of piti that's a good thing. don't need to restart from a different type of meditating, can adjust slightly instead: [link to Tweet](https://x.com/blissbrah/status/1891205416912323033)
4) if you're doing v2 jhana meditation, then a litmus test: if you're feeling drained after, if you're feeling like it requires effort, then you're doing it wrong. it's possible for meditation to ease stress and be emotionally rejuvenating, rather than something that seems in conflict like: [link to Tweet](https://x.com/seekingyaga/status/1891006259580518800)
bayes@bayeslord2025-02-16did we, uh, solve jhanas? is there anyone reading this that has tried to learn them and had it not work out (at least for the first few jhanas)?
